Joy in small things!

Today my canvases that I ordered arrived in the mail. I had been at a standstill with my project and it is such a joy and inspiration to see the actual canvases waiting for me to put paint on them.

I am taking Painting II and my semester long project is to create a series of work that can be presented as a complete show. I will probably end up creating ten or more paintings within this series. They are small, black and white paintings of parts of the face. I do not have any pictures of the completed paintings yet; they are all safely stored in the art room.

Also, I would like to thank Grampa again for my easel. I have it set up in my room, as pictured. It is such a wonderful thing to have.
