New Blog

Hey folks,

I'm migrating to a new blog. In honor of married life I have created a blog for both JP and I to write together. In a play off of our last name, we've started the "Life as a Tall Tree" blog.

I do not plan on continuing to update this blog, so please direct your attention to my new blog.

Thanks for following me around this far!

I'm a Mrs. now!

Yesterday my fiance and I got married. After a few short weeks of wedding planning I decided it was just not my thing. I had been asking him off and on since we got engaged if we could just elope and finally on Easter Sunday he said it sounded like a good idea. We called our parents and they were supportive so set the wheels in motion and wahla, we're married.

Tuesday, a week ago, two of my girlfriends and I set out for the mall with an hour to find the perfect dress, we succeeded with time to buy shoes, jewelry and a few fun things. It was a great night. Wednesday, a week ago, we bought our wedding bands. Saturday R and I bought the material for my shawl, ribbon for my hair and waist. Monday we got our license and I bought JP a new tie to wear and by Wednesday it was all set.

One small thing tainting this is that we had been planning to see all of my family on Saturday, but due to a sad change of plans I wont be able to see them until July. But their love and well wishes is flowing all the way from the East coast, so I know there were there in spirit.

I officially say to anyone who is upset because they "can't afford to get married" that they need to get over themselves. This was completely affordable and a perfect small event. If getting married is your goal, it costs fifty bucks - if a party is your goal, stop calling it a wedding and throw a party. :)

Boo boo, not a fan of the flu.

The Amazing H man has the flu. Today he pushed his lunch away and said "H all done. H go play" but when I went to take him out of his highchair I realized his knee was shaking. I then realized his all body was shaking and very warm. The poor dear had a temp of 103.5. His parents took him to the doctors after his nap and she declared him to have the flu. He's still adorable, even when he's sick.

I just hope I don't get sick as well....
